What is a Will?
A Will is a legal document that sets out what happens to your estate in the event of your death and can also include instructions relating to your funeral. Your Will can incorporate your finances, such as any bank accounts, pensions or investments, property and personal possessions.
Why do I need a Will?
Having a legally valid Will gives you control over what happens to your estate following your death. In the absence of a Will, you cannot ensure who will inherit your assets, so making one is incredibly important for your loved ones’ peace of mind by providing financial security in the event of your death.
What is Probate?
A Grant of Probate is a legal document that gives the executor of your Will the right to handle your affairs following your death, allowing them to liaise with the institutions that hold your financial assets, such as banks and insurances companies.
