Arti Shah
Arti graduated with a First Class Degree in Law (LLB Hons) before going on to complete the Legal Practice Course in London. She qualified as a Solicitor in 2009 and joined the Clinical Negligence Department after having completed her two-year training contract with the firm.
She is continuing to acquire and develop her medical knowledge by assisting on a wide range of clinical and medical negligence matters, including maximum severity claims, as part of Pattinson & Brewer's leading team for such claims. She is developing a particular interest in brain damage and paediatric injury cases, including cerebral palsy.
Arti has worked closely with Head of Department, Linda Levison, in achieving settlement of a complex multi-million pound brain injury case (£7M+) for a client under the Court of Protection who will require a lifetime of ongoing care and assistance.
More recently, she has been involved in a successful Court of Appeal action addressing a long-standing lacuna in the law on behalf of a client who suffered catastrophic injuries arising out of a crime of violence.
Arti is a popular member of the team with clients regularly praising her for her friendly and efficient approach, and clear explanations of complex legal terminology.
Arti is a member of the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers (APIL) and an Accredited Litigator.
In her spare time, Arti enjoys travelling, going to the cinema and reading.
