Gary Lightwood

Gary Lightwood is the Managing Partner of Pattinson & Brewer’s Bristol office. He is a personal injury expert engaged in all areas of accident and injury law and clinical negligence claims and as a member of the Pattinson & Brewer Industrial Disease Team he specialises in workplace disease with a focus on asbestos claims.

Gary has a solid grounding in accident and disease work, having worked closely with and represented Trade Union members and private clients for over 15 years. He believes strongly in the work that he does, representing only claimants and in the right of accident victims to have legal representation whether their injury is minor or major.

Gary is a senior litigator member and the South West Region Secretary of the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers (APIL), a member of the Law Society Personal Injury Panel, a member of the Bristol Medico-Legal Society and sits on the council of the Bristol Law Society and is Chairman of the Bristol Law Society events, networking and sponsorship committee.

Away from running the Bristol office and managing clients cases, Gary is married with two daughters and two cats. He is lead guitarist and singer with a rock and roll band, is a trained technical SCUBA diver, an enthusiastic wake boarder and a keen runner with several half marathons under his belt.
