Jane Farrell

Jane Farrell is a Solicitor in Pattinson & Brewer's Employment department. Prior to qualifying as a solicitor, Jane worked in the NHS and the music industry, and successfully worked with colleagues to achieve recognition of the union at her company. She later became the union Branch Secretary, and found the role so interesting and inspiring that she decided to retrain in law.

After her law studies concluded, Jane worked as the practice manager of a specialist employment discrimination firm before completing her training at Pattinson & Brewer.

Jane has acted in a range of employment claims, including unfair dismissal, discrimination, contract and TUPE cases, and has a particular interest in matters involving maternity discrimination. She is also experienced in negotiating and advising on Compromise Agreements.

Jane's previous career and union role means she is experienced in assisting employees with the problems they face in the workplace, and she is committed to achieving practical as well as legal solutions to those difficulties.

Outside of work, Jane is a dedicated punk and heavy metal fan, is partial to the odd pint of real ale, and enjoys yoga, swimming and rambling.
