Graham Smith is a Chartered Legal Executive in Pattinson & Brewer’s personal injury department and has worked in accident and injury claims for over 20 years. He has extensive experience dealing with very complex claims across a wide variety of sectors including criminal injuries compensation, road traffic accidents where the defendant is uninsured, the railways and the public sector.
He is particularly experienced in representing members of the Police Federation of England and Wales and has represented both union and private clients involved in fatal accidents, clients with spinal injuries and employers’ liability claimants.
Graham has settled several cases for significant amounts of damages including a £1 million case for a client who was injured in traffic accident and suffered paraplegia as a result. He has also won a case at the court of appeal when he challenged the judge’s ruling on a specific aspect of the case which had been ignored.
Graham is married and lives in Essex. He is a keen and long suffering season ticket holder of Leyton Orient and a frequent visitor to the terraces. Outside the football season he enjoys boating on the River Thames.
