John Kilmister is a solicitor in Pattinson & Brewer's Personal Injury Team. He was admitted as a Solicitor in 1994 and although he now specialises in Claimant personal injury work he has previously undertaken a wide range of other civil and criminal litigation.
John has been with the firm's Bristol office since 2000 where he specialises in accident and occupational disease claims.
John handles all types of personal injury and occupational disease cases. His particular areas of interest are asbestos litigation, psychiatric injury, workplace accidents and travel/holiday claims. John also runs Pattinson & Brewer's Hungarian Unit (magyar kárigénylok) which specialises in claims for clients whose first language is Hungarian.
John has been a member of the Law Society's Personal Injury Panel (Accreditation Scheme) since 2000. He is also a member of the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers (APIL), the Pan European Organisation of Personal Injury Lawyers (PEOPIL), the Bristol Law Society and the Bristol Medico-Legal Society.
John has a Masters degree in Law (dissertation on psychiatric injury) and has given talks and published articles on various personal injury subjects.
Outside of the office John's interests are languages (Hungarian and Spanish), reading, golf and chess.
