Compensation for this injury varies greatly. "Severe" injuries (£32,500 - in the region of £106,000) are where there is "permanent spastic quadriparesis", or "ruptured tendons", or less severe injuries that "may necessitate spinal fusion".  "Moderate" injuries (£5,600 - £27,500) include cases involving whiplash or wreching type injuries with "increased vulnerability to furter trauma".  "Minor" injuries (£1,500- £5,600) include "soft tissue and whiplash injuries and the like where symptoms are moderate" from which you might recover from between a few weeks and about two years.
